On July 10, 2010, the Scanlon Creek Bark Park will be officially opened! Please join us from 11:30am to 2pm for a BBQ by the Bradford Lions (nomimal fee), treats for the pooches, a fundraising raffle, and a presentation of prizes to the 3 winners of the name-the-dog-park contest!
Last week, Tyson, Romeo, and I did a sneak peak of the dog park and, BOY!, were we stunned. It’s absolutely AMAZING! An incredibly dog-fun-tastic place! Loads of space to run around (3.2 acres to be exact!), loads of mature trees to keep things shady, a double-gate system for the pooches safety, and even a wonder-ruff-le little path thru the forest that leads to the park. Kudos goes to Brenda Winter, Project Coordinator and Community Outreach, Lake Simcoe Conservation Foundation, for spear-heading the whole project. Brenda: WE LOVE YOU!
