Most of you know that I co-ordinated the Bradford/Holland Landing Smiling Blue Skies Walk to End Canine Cancer in 2012 and 2014. We had amazing success, with very generous participants and donors. I am no long able to organize a walk but will be supporting the Smiling Blue Skies Cancer Fund through Amanda’s walk in Guelph, on May 30th, 2015. I would love for each and everyone of you to join us on that fun-filled day but know that isn’t possible. Alternatively, I would be honoured if you chose to sponsor my participation on that day with a monetary donation. With regret, there won’t be a 2013 Smiling Blue Skies Walk to End Canine Cancer in Bradford this year. Life got in the way and I wasn’t able to commit to a date. We will, however, be back full-strength for next year and we hope you’ll be able to join us! In the meantime, however, Kelly, of Kelly’s Dog Walking ( http://www.kellysdogwalking.com ) will be holding her Toronto walk on September 28, 2013. We attended her inaugural walk last year and had a terrific time ! Kelly’s team raised close to $40,000 for K9 cancer research! Fabulous job!

We were definitely blessed with good weather on our side for our first annual Smiling Blue Skies Walk to End Canine Cancer. Between the 35 registered walkers, along with their fur-kids and 2-legged friends/family members, who took part in the hikes, and quite a few virtual walkers, a total of $14,000 was raised for the OVC Pet Trust Fund.  Simply AMAZING! Congratulations and BIG Thank YOU’s to all the volunteers for their hard work, to all the walkers for their dedication, to the sponsors for their generosity, and to Smiling Blue Skies for their never-ending support!  What a fantastic team effort all ’round!
